The Bible is Psychological Slavery
The bible was brought to Africa by white people, and we all know how Africans adore white people. So they believed every word that came out of the white men's mouth. Up to date, Africans believe that anything that comes form the mouth of white men are true, clever and other good things. They lack self-awareness and belief. Africans are very religious people, and because of this, they accepted the bible with open arms.
The bible is a book full of instructions, wise sayings, truisms and many nice words. But on the other hand, the bible is full of atrocities and terrors like rape, plunder, murders genocides and animal and human sacrifices. People prefer to turn a blind eye on these terrors in the bible and instead focus on the beautiful hopeful statements.
The bible is very contradictory in that it paints God as a loving, merciful deity. We are told his love is never ending and his grace is sufficient, on the other hand, we read about his harsh commands, his instructions to conduct genocides, animal and human sacrifice, child deaths etc. But Africans would rather stick to the phrase "God is good all the time", to them it is an abomination to question this deity brought by the white man. He is a deity of wrath too, they say.
The worst threat, is the endless pain of sinners in the end time. There shall be a pit of fire which God has specifically set aside for the burning of people who did not believe in him. This threat has made Africans fear to question and to think for themselves. They would prefer to ignore and sugarcoat the horrible verses in the bible than to question.
Allow me to borrow thie wonderful piece n post it on my timeline to educate these clueless Christians.
