A Woman is Property Just Like a Donkey, Only That She Can Speak

Can you imagine being raped as a woman, then your aggressor pays a certain amount to your father so that he can take you as his wife? I cant think of the best word to describe the feeling one can have, to live with a man who violated your sexuality, and to think that he and your father bargained a price for you and came to a conclusion.It is traumatic for lack of a better word. But this is what the God of the bible says in the book of Deuteronomy 22:28, does he seem like a good and caring god? not at all. He paints the picture of a tyrannical misogynist.

In Exodus 21:7-11, we find it is possible for a father to sell his daughters as slaves! Men who are sold as slaves can leave after 6 years but the women who are sold are supposed to stay. Women however, who do not please their masters (sexually) are to be returned to their fathers (at a price of course). This is the worst kind of misogyny in history. Christians of today do not like to read this verse. They have also even transgressed against God's preference, of women staying quiet in church 1st Corinthians 14:34.

Another verse which makes my stomach churn is Deuteronomy 21:11-14, which gives instructions to the men of Israel on how to react when they see a woman they find attractive among their captive. He is to take her to his house, shave her head and cut her nails, the he should leave her in the house to cry for her parents in a month. After that, he is free to make her his wife. If she does not please him (sexually gain), he can let her go. This is humiliation at it's highest degree.

How many miracle births are of females in the bible? zero. Women who make names for themselves like Ruth and Esther do it through their sexuality, as wives. The bible has many more verses that illustrate the lesser worth of women. I will outline more in coming posts.

Why are Atheists Always So Angry?

   Atheists have been long been misunderstood as bitter people. People who went through bitter experiences and are now channeling their anger to "God". We have been told about our mental health being in a poor state. We have been called lost and misguided. These words are by no means polite, they are pretty much accusatory, of ignorance and weakness on our part. Strangely enough, believers don't understand why such comments would put us off. Kina the TV series and it's portrayal of atheism

   It is heartbreaking that most religious people have the idea that atheism is the symbolism of evil. Most have the tendency to think that atheist minds are under the influence of the lord of the underworld, namely , 'Satan'. It is expected that a non believer of religion  has no conscience to steer him or her away from evil, and that the ability to do good comes from a god. This is quite wrong since we all know that animals such as dogs and elephants have demonstrated acts of kindness despite them not being followers of any religion. That aside, I got a few chances to watch Kina the Kenyan TV series and wasn't much shocked to find out that Nana, the villain in the story is an atheist. In one of the episodes, she opens up about not believing in God. This is quite good evidence that atheism is equated to evil here in Kenya.
