The God of the Bible Is a Scam

The fact that the bible was a tool for the colonialists to subdue Africans is many times rubbished by the Africans themselves. Reasons being that their belief in Christ is now dyed-in-the-wool and it has become an abomination to even question the goodness of the bible. Those who are rational enough to question tests in the bible in a way that is not so positive are viewed as being led by Satan. People are also cowed by the idea that they are going to burn in hell if they start doubting and questioning the "perfect" God.

I however believe that the God of the bible is the biggest lie given to Africans. First of all, the God of the bible is painted as a very loving being in Christianity and yet text from the old testament prove he is the most evil God one could think of. He seems to condone bad practices such as slavery, misogyny, killing of children, murder, looting, rape and even lying.

Second, the story of Jesus is very much similar to the stories of God's in other religions. He seems to be copied from myths and pagan beliefs. Similarities between him and Hercules, Horus, Krishna, Buddha, Mithra, Dionysus plus a list of other gods are easy to note. Being born of a virgin, being born on December 25th, having 12 disciples, rising from the dead etc, are some of the similarities their stories carry.

Thirdly, Christians are being told that miracles of Jesus still happen to this day. But I am yet to see one myself. Jesus of the bible appears to have a very powerful tongue, healing instantly without any hustle. He does not give his word incubation time like the pastors of today do. He only had to say a sentence and the magic happened. Have you watched how frenzied healing prayers are in church today, and then we have to wait for the miracles.

Why are Atheists Always So Angry?

   Atheists have been long been misunderstood as bitter people. People who went through bitter experiences and are now channeling their anger to "God". We have been told about our mental health being in a poor state. We have been called lost and misguided. These words are by no means polite, they are pretty much accusatory, of ignorance and weakness on our part. Strangely enough, believers don't understand why such comments would put us off. Kina the TV series and it's portrayal of atheism

   It is heartbreaking that most religious people have the idea that atheism is the symbolism of evil. Most have the tendency to think that atheist minds are under the influence of the lord of the underworld, namely , 'Satan'. It is expected that a non believer of religion  has no conscience to steer him or her away from evil, and that the ability to do good comes from a god. This is quite wrong since we all know that animals such as dogs and elephants have demonstrated acts of kindness despite them not being followers of any religion. That aside, I got a few chances to watch Kina the Kenyan TV series and wasn't much shocked to find out that Nana, the villain in the story is an atheist. In one of the episodes, she opens up about not believing in God. This is quite good evidence that atheism is equated to evil here in Kenya.
