The God of the Middle East Condones Human Sacrifice

God of the bible and of Israel, El Shaddai, Elohim and Yahweh, seems to enjoy the horrors of death upon animals and human beings. I specifically don't see the the logic in burning animals for the smoke to go up so that it can tingle the nose of Yahweh with excitement.Firstly the sky is too far away and way around are other planets (according to science). He seems to enjoy the smell of his creation burning.
In Judges 11;30, we learn of Jephthah a man of God who made the vow with God, that if he won in the battle against  the Ammonites, whatever or whoever comes out of the house to receive him in his triumph, he will give it/he/she to the lord as a burnt sacrifice (what an absurd idea from Jephtha, but he is no different from his lord, who enjoys the smell of burnt flesh according to this verse)

When Jephthah went to battle (we wonder what the battle was for), God gave him victory over the Ammonites. On returning home, Mizpah his daughter came out dancing with joy. His heart broke but he had to do what he had promised God, and he did it. Why would God accept the offer of the poor innocent girl being killed just because of a bet. He is said to be omnipotent and just, he could have just withdrawn his acceptance of the offer out of sympathy which many of us feel when we hear this tragic story. Since he is omnipresent he could also have prevented Mizpah from dancing out of the door.

Aside from that, we are made to wonder what good is a human sacrifice, why human sacrifice? What kind of pleasure comes from the smell of burning flesh or oozing blood? Only the violent God from Middle east knows.
